Jared's turning exclusively utilizes wood collected locally often from sources where the wood is to be otherwise discarded. Using a waste stream to create beautiful and functional wooden pieces is a large driver for Jared's work. His shop is free of stains, all wood colors are naturally occurring. He chooses to excluded plastic epoxies and resins from his shop as well, preferring to leave "imperfections" unfilled so as to allow the natural properties of the wood to shine through.
